Tective created SkyHive to help with this. With the SkyHive dronehub, our goal is to provide sensor data on site within 10 minutes to companies and government agencies. There are many situations where this makes a difference:
We believe the right sensor data can help improve efficiency of farms, help with search and rescue efforts, assist with maintenance inspection of infrastructure and much more. However, every farmer, company and law enforcement agency buying and flying their own drone is not only too expensive, but unnecessary! We believe a shared, service-based infrastructure is the way to go.
Our aim is to make sensor data from drones accessible and affordable for our customers. With a simple, 3-step approach, we believe this is possible. First, a customer places an online mission request. A sensor type and mission area is selected. The mission is validated for safety and privacy, and a mission profile is sent to a local SkyHive. With a network of SkyHive's, there will always be one close to you. And with our unique Hive system, there will always be a payload that suits your mission. A drone is deployed and the sensor data is processed in the cloud immediately. Within 10 minutes, our customer is able to respond to make a smart decision, based on real-time information.

INNOVATION AS A DRIVER
Using drones is expensive! The drone itself is costly. But also operating it, swapping batteries, or replacing a camera or motor. At Tective, we've developed a unique system optimized for autonomous drone operations. It consists of a drone, called ReFly, suitable for flying multiple missions in a row with its battery-swapping capability. Second, SkyHive functions as the dronehub. It stores up to 5 drones simultaneously, and can swap and charge batteries. Thirdly, we have developed a smart battery module. With this, we achieve longer flight times and quick swapping times (of under 1 minute) for maximum airtime.
